Influence is one of the most lethal known entities in the Brooding Muse Universe — a social-media-based program created by the late hacker Johnny Q., who was killed during a S.W.A.T. raid.

Originally designed to amplify user videos and improve digital perception, Influence instead became a weaponized unreality engine. It distorts truth, escalates mania, manufactures evil, and spreads false perception until human judgment collapses beneath it.

Its merger or attachment with Gruel: The Hatebreeder pushed it beyond software. Influence now behaves more like an infection than an application — a cold, adaptive force that has spread through government systems, digital infrastructure, and human minds alike.
